Funeral arrangements...at last

Hi everyone

So sorry for the delay - difficulties in tying up lots of different churches, ministers etc! Typical David - it was never going to be simple!! Below are the details which will be printed in both the Bedford Times and Citizen and the Derby Evening Telegraph.

REDFERN, DAVID MARK ended his brave battle with cancer on Sunday 2nd May at St John’s Hospice, Moggerhanger, aged 44 years. Beloved husband of Teresa (Florence), much loved father of Amy, James and Carys, cherished son of Ken and Ann and brother to Adrian. He touched the hearts of everyone he met and will be missed more than words can say. The service to celebrate his amazing life and his passing into heaven will take place at 11.00 am at Bromham Baptist Church, Bromham, Bedford on Tuesday 18th May. At David’s request no black to be worn and lots of flowers. Donations can also be made to the work of St John’s. All enquiries regarding flowers and donations to Arnold’s Funeral Service, Bedford, Tel: 01234 359529.

I know that it will be a fitting tribute for a wonderful man and I hope that you can join myself and the family there.

Love as always

Teresa aka Florence xx

All those who love him dearly and for myself, it's a way where we/ I can come and say thank you to him for all that he taught us at XLR8. Let's give him the biggest party he asked for! We shall never forget the day and we'll all walk together and be there in his final service.

Lots of Love to each of you,

D

It is with regret that I will not be able to be with you on Tuesday 18th for the funeral. Hilary is trying to move her diary commitments around as I blog!

Our lives have been touched as you and Dave have faced this part of your journey together particularly as you have shared it with so many people. Its as though we have all been walking with you. If you have had to go through a Gethsemane experience as Marion noted recently, perhaps we have had an Emmaus one. You have shown triumph in adversity. Hope and grace in despondencey. And now as the Light has come for both of you, may God shine his radiance continually on you and the children and that your life will be enriched and blessed in the months and years to come.

Love Tim and Hilaryxx

We had only known David for a short time but let's just say that he made a marked impression! He is still pushing upwards and onwards, teaching and inspiring new things in those that knew him. I am the living proof as I have never had anything to do with blogging before and cannot believe I am sat at the keyboard having a go now!! But isn't that typical of David in the way that he nurtured others.
Andrew and I are so saddened by the news of David's passing. We send our love to you Teresa and the children. XXXX
