Bobbing Along...

Can't get the boating bug out of our water and spent Sunday afternoon (after my preach) looking at boaties!!!

Seen one we love at Jones' boatyard St Neots called 'Rachel Louise' but we are still thinking about it!
Sunday morning was great service, Jez Green led so well, the songs he picked fitted in with the theme brilliantly - my preach flew along too. Our wonderful church met afterwards for their monthly prayer meeting for me and Alan (our previous minister) and kept bashing heaven's doors!
I had some lovely new gardening tools for father's day, a hoe and trowel - all good stainless steel -and very posh.
Today we had an early start heading off to Gloucester for a Kip McGrath meeting getting back just in time to drop Teresa off at our Kempston centre. Needless to say I'm knackered! The swallowing is impossible, even liquids hurt though are going down. My weight dropped below 13 stone today too. I started to eat an egg sandwich (nice 'n' soft) but it came back up again! Argh; I'm hungry so, more milkshakes, smoothies (urgh...slime) and soup.
Hoping to hit the garden (with new tools) tomorrow - might buy a boat???? Not treated ourselves with any of the insurance money yet; just lots of dull investments. Convincing myself slowly..any objections? No? Good! Thanks for agreeing you're all lovely!
See ya

Silly boy!
Bread is just about the worst thing to get down a blocked oesophagus. Why didn't you try just the mashed up egg. Scrambled egg might work. Have tried jelly and custard and things like that. I know you don't like slime but you might have to have some just to keep your strength up!!! See you tonight- Nurse Mu
PS. For goodness sake go and buy your boat. You can alway sell it again if times get tough.

Hi Dove,
Bought the boat yet?
We all know that boys must have their toys.
You are right of course, nurse Mu, bread was a really silly idea...if Florence had been there, she never would have even suggested it.
What you need is some good Welsh "cock-a-leekie" soup (I am resisting the temptation to dive into the gutter with innuendo's). I will make you some, and deliver it to you on your boat...you have the soup, I will have a double Pimms,.
We, here have all got caught up in this Eco? town protest, so banners were aloft yesterday, at the Millenium Park. It was great to see the whole community come together.
You can catch up with it on Nadine Dorries web site.
Ponies still need mucking out....suppose I had better get on with it, you will be far too busy sailing round Brogborough Lake now.
Better go now, rocket fuel suitably chilled......
Letters....erlatk...Welsh for "Hello Sailor"

Blasting, yearning continues....nearly there my friend...no trace......
LOL as always,

Go on Dave.... buy the boat and have some fun with it. As an Mu said earlier you can always sell it.

Sorry to hear you are having so much trouble with swallowing and keeping things down. However, you do need to keep your strength up so slime it will have to be... I remember our conversation last July in Manchester about how you didn't see the point of smoothies!!

Went to see the Dalai Lama in Nottingham. I cannot describe what a wonderful person he is... so happy all the time and so full of common sense. I aspire to having his insights to the workings of the world and his ability to deal with whatever question is thrown at him. I said a prayer for you whilst there and live in hope that this treatment and our prayers will be successful.

Love

Dee
