Actually thinking a little more about the great results and appointment earlier. Dr Bulusu (my oncologist) actually played down the endoscopies that had shown no evidence of malignancy last year. We thought that the previous results were good news and therefore the more recent negative endoscopy result was bad. He suggested that the difference between a neg and pos result can just be as simple as where the biopsy is taken or how deep they 'dig' for the sample. What he was saying is that the tumour hasn't 'come back' it never actually 'went away'. The amazing thing remains how it hasn't spread to anywhere else. I'm 18 months in and feeling great. They are really pleased with me. I'm going to be in 5% who make it you just see!
I'm retired now really - just pottering around a little bit with Teresa & Amy at Kip McGrath; aiming to keep the stress down and aid ongoing recovery. Keep praying guys!

Hi Dave, Good to hear the news about the CT scan result - as good as it can be. Here's hoping that whatever they throw at you next you a) tolerate well and b) does the deed to wipe out the nasty thing! I know Dr Bulusu is a fantastic oncologist so I am sure he will be doing all (and more) that he can to offer you the best - which is what you deserve!
Take care and enjoy your 'retirement' - I could recommend getting some chickens?? We just collected our 3 girls yesterday, and their soft clucking is so soothing! No eggs yet as they are only 18 weeks old - but may be able to offer you some in a few weeks....

We only have 4 now, but Jane is right, they are very theraputic. One of ours is broody, again, so she is sitting on 6 fertilised eggs we got from Thorns Farm, so hopefully in 3 weeks, we will hear the cheep cheep of little fluffy chicks. And the beauty of it is, PONIES don't mind the chickens at all!!!!! Thanks Jane, what a great idea. If you go to Woodside Farm at Slip End in Luton, you can pick up some lovely point of lay hens for about £5 each, or you can get rescue hens (ex battery) from RSPCA.........got 'em yet?
The news seems to be improving, and "no spread" is quite incredible. So, Mr. Five Percent....bring it on.
Pottering is good, especially for the over 45's...not you yet, I know, but no harm in getting in some practise.
As per, we pray for "no trace", and for you to have peace in your pottering.

Hi Dave and Teresa, im really thrilled to hear that the news was positive on friday. All our prayers are working and you will beat this nasty thing. Did you all enjoy alton towers today? I went to church today and it was a lovely and very funny service, but i missed seeing you all. Mu and Ken were not there either and i was sooo looking forward to seeing them but anyway hope to see you all there next wk.
