Much the same

Hi faithful blog readers

Not much to report from the hospital bed today. David remains very poorly - he just sleeps and is sick literally and even my visits seem too much for him so I am only staying for a couple of hours and then leaving him to rest. The results of the blood tests revealled that he has got some sort of infection so they are starting him on anti-biotics today and they have 24 hour sickness relief in a 'driver' straight into his leg. This doesn't seem to be helping however at the moment. He is also getting more fluid build up in his body cavity which will need to be drained again in the next couple of days.

The staff are all lovely and are doing all they can to keep him comfortable but it's just going to take some time for him to start recovering so I think we are in for a fairly long stint in the hospital....of course I will keep you all updated. I'm sorry he is not up to visits at the moment - he has asked for everyone to keep praying for him and I have assured him that when he is up to it there are people queueing up to come and show their love and support!

Thanks again for all words of encouragement and kind thoughts. Thanks particularly to Jane for having and entertaining Carys for the past couple of days - it has made life so much easier for me and has been lovely for her! You are a treasure.

Love as always

Flo xx

Hi Flo and Dave,
Just checked in after a few days off line.....and, well, turn my back for a short time and you get up to all sorts!
I bet that 6 litres was pure alcohol!
Hey, joking aside, sorry to hear that things are tough at present. We continue to pray for all sorts of things, healing, courage, strength, comfort, healing, healing, healing....
You know that you all remain in our hearts every day.
As you continue your journey, we are there with you, loving you and willing you and praying for you to get through each bit of the struggle, and come out victors.
Bless you both, and Chloe and the kids, and the dog, as we send much love and hugs across the net.

Hi
Been reading the posts over the past few days and have struggled to know what to leave as a comment!

tempted to just say ditto what Sian said!

But rest assured prayers are with you all that the one true amazing God bless you with the strength, comfort, healing and anything else that you need. And I'm sure He will because He is good xx

Hi,
Well, hoping that Dave soon begins to feel better once the antibiotics kick in and his sickness gets under control. It has been a 'pleasure' to have Carys here with us the last couple of days - you would have thought that 5 hours at Irchester Country Park with a picnic today would have worn them out - but no, they still wanted to go to the playground when we got home - and Carys wanted me to help her with her bike riding skills! So I don't know about them sleeping well (they are still plotting a midnight feast - although last night Carys's alarm clock woke me up but not them! - so I left them sleeping!! much to her disgust this morning!) - anyway I am shattered and will sleep well tonight.
All our thoughts are with you and anything else we can do to help - possibly further sleepovers at the weekend??? (when I've recovered) then let me know!
Love to all,
Jane xxx

Miles away but think of you all as always. So many people are with you all with lots of wishes and prayers at this time. Words are never enough but hopefully our thoughts and prayers are. Love as always, Lynne & Nick
