Sorry I didn't blog last night but the hotel lacked lots and especially an Internet connection!
We got the kids off to Aberdeen on Friday morning from Birmingham and then set off to Bath. We had a famous Sally Lunn Bun at the oldest house in Bath and looked round the beautiful Abbey. There was a fantastic set of sculptures on display that chronicled a women's journey through cancer - which was really interesting. Bath is so beautiful if not a little wet!
The hotel was bizarre, totally disorganised, slow service, awful food and horribly expensive. The view however was magnificent over the Avon valley and the room was OK.
We set off around 10.00 to go our mates Lynne & Nick in beautiful Devon. They live in the most amazing place with unbelievable views across the moors. They are so hospitable, we feel really blessed to be sharing an evening with them.
We're off to Cornwall early tomorrow, meeting up with the family at a pub for lunch in Hayle. \Hopefully the Carbis Bay hotel will be a better experience and the Internet will work!
